Great! Nice to hear from you btw :)

Looks like a challenge! Would like to see a final route before I commit not sure I could hack it haha
-
• #29
Seeing as we have two who need Sept, one who would prefer it, and the others can theorectically swing it, shall we confirm the date as September?
-
• #30
The final route is basically what YAL posted on the previous page, followed by what cagihama posted.
-
• #31
I was thinking along the same lines.

Pray for nice weather, as we'll either need to be caning it/super relaxing it to get to QEII for 3 am, plus I think it'll take us about 45 mins - hour to get the group across (as it will take them two trips if there are more than four of us). I don't think we'll be back in London until after mid-day if it's 70 miles from Dartford to Ramsgate.

• #33
I would also need it to be September if you need moar votes to swing the gavel..
-
• #34
The first part is 66 km, which translates into 2.5h at least I reckon? So if we leave the Spoon at 0030 (closing time) then we'll get there for 3 am.
For the crossing itself I want to email the service as soon as we have a more precise headcount to see how we can minimize waiting time (and/or having two or one bigger truck to go in one crossing?)

It seems that while most favour August those with a solid reason want Sept so as YAL said, perhaps we should settle for Sept anyway...

Yeah, and that makes the group ~9ish which is a nice number for a night ride.
-
• #40
Alright, I'll edit the event. Thanks for the nice list, very civilized.
The ride will take place from the Saturday 1st of September to the Sunday 2nd of September. The ride will start at half past midnight.

Fantastic! When do we start talking about planning ferry’s to France?
-
• #43
What’s the French equivalent of a Wetherspoons?
-
• #44
Hahaha that's so good
-
• #45
That would probably be any PMU in any village. Guaranteed atmosphere!
-
• #46
I want to come just because of the name now. Needs personliased jerseys.

'Zero Dark Thirsty' top work!
-
• #48
I did most of the second half last night. An inner tube went missing from under my saddle. Be careful and remain vigilant!
Edit: Watching my fly6 footage back, it leapt off just before the bridge over the Medway into Rochester

People rolling fixed or geared?
-
• #50
Probably some kind of mix. I'll be geared.
Def interested, been missing these rides but Thurs doesn't often work for me. Helping out at a TCR checkpoint in Aug and prob going to stay out that way for a bit, so will keep my eye on this in case it rolls into Sept.
