I think George Dubya intertroduced that one.

Another Novichok poisoning?

So bizarre and worrying. Don't go to Wiltshire.
Gordon Corero thinks the most likely explanation seems to be that it's somehow related to the previous attack - that this couple somehow came across where the previous batch was discarded or prepared.
I wonder why news outlets have been so keen to point out that everyone thought at first they'd had contaminated heroin or crack. It seems like a way to try to discredit them or attack their character.

kind of strange that Porton Down is in that area and even is allowed to do the testing.

Also this story about the nurse having been arrested for the murder and attempted murder of babies under her care is awful.
If she did it, fucking hell, what a monster. All those photos it's showing of her in her nurse's uniform are chilling.
If she didn't, seeing as her name is through all the newspapers and on national TV news, she's going to struggle to work again.
It's the hospital I was born in, in case you were wondering.

It does seem very reminiscent of Lucia de Berk

Why is it strange?
Porton has always been the military place to test stuff. The labs are set up to deal with it. Theres lots of nothing else at porton. -
• #52886
People getting poisoned in the neighbourhood of a facility that makes the stuff is a bit
suspect I think. -
• #52887
Pretty sure they don't make novicheck.
Other stuff, yeah fairly sure it's been made/is stored there. -
• #52888
Pretty sure there's some radioactive / contaminated with horrible bio labels / covered in polyacrylamide leaving university labs.

Maybe they are making this amateur version that hasn't managed to kill anyone yet.

The photo makes it look like they invited down the Rangers firm as well:
At least the officers have been charged though.

If you need more motivation then they talked about it on the radio this morning as a battle between Paul McCartney and Tim Berners-Lee. I know who I would support...

Interesting - when I reported two dogs being set on mine to "test their gameness", I was (un)reliably informed by the police they don't look into "dog on dog" (their words) incidents. It's happened three times...

test their gameness
what does that even mean?

Sounds like something to do with dog fighting to me
