Well, it is always a matter of finding likely matches between your ride's inexact GPS trace, and existing segments, which themselves are based on other people's inexact GPS traces. The variances aren't necessarily at the segment endpoints.

It's a shame and this haasn't happened before. Can it be done retrospectively without me having to ride that horrible course again?
