I drive for a living and that contrast looks about right to me, also my left arm is darker than my right.

I drive Mercs (predominantly) for a living now but keep the windows shut and the air-con on full in this weather. And I've not once driven with the roof down in one as it does nothing for me.
Years ago an Aussie told me that the most common location on an Aussie male body for skin cancer was right elbow/forearm. csb.
