Stiffness is not everything and the weight is often negligible.
Aluminum is inert compared to the elasticity of steel.
It's not so expensive to find good steel frames from the 2000, SLX,SL, Brain, Genius,EL OS Nemo, Foco, Life, Max, Ego, Spirit...
For a road bike steel is real : )
