I'm almost glad I only see about 5 other cyclists in 30 miles of commuting a day.

I did not imply you were going too fast, I was implying I used to get wound up by morons who simply cannot ride in a straight line etc, but I try to just back right off, take a left turn and avoid it etc.
I know its not so easy when there is only one clear route to where your going but I think I would have had a word with him to mention what was frustrating you..

I think they meant (or maybe it's just what I mean) if someone is cycling like a dick, let them go ahead. Put a foot on the kerb for 15 seconds until they're gone and join the next wave. I do this when I'm stuck in a group with some awful cyclist. They aren't going to be reasoned with and will continue to ruin your ride. We have to be smarter than the choppers.

This is exactly what I meant!

ahh ok. I'll wind my attitude back in a bit then. I am typically one of the most patient cyclists on my commute, sitting back 4 cars at the lights and err on the side of caution in pretty much every situation so potentially being accused otherwise got my hackles up a bit. all love
he was much too slow on the open road for letting him get on with it, traffic in general was slow as it was so busy and he was one of the slower ones which is why I kept ending up stuck behind him or he would catch me up. the guy on his left at 0:42 rode pretty 8/9 miles of my 11 mile commute in the same pack as me. we were pretty much corralled in from tooting onwards.
I only posted it here to vent because it wasn't worth calling him out as it was more of a death by a thousand paper cuts than any one action being particularly onerous.

But yeah I feel you. I've tried to play chill on many occasions and still end up watching the same douchebro weave through peds, hop curbs and cut off inexperienced cyclists for nearly the entire length of a commute. Sometimes there is no escaping the choppers.

Classic pedalling with the middle of the foot, never changing gear. You should've seen it from the start.

That is me. Midfoot + singlespeed.
The difference is that even after TABR none of you fuckers would be complaining about my riding because you'd be so far behind after the first set of lights...
:D

We’d be slowing up to let you get away because everyone is, rightly, wary of the smelly guy ranting to himself under his breath.

I've almost certainly showered more times in the last week than everyone on this forum.
Too tired to rant.
Race ya :)

Apparently it's not cool to say that after you've had the kid.

Keeping up with you would be easy, we'd all be sucked up in your swirling jetstream, like riding behind an HGV. The hard part is not drafting you

Is there a 747 or an Airbus 380 in that video? For accuracy’s sake.
-
• #13699
I think the dual level A380 is more accurate. Definitely no Upper Class here though.

Not just ruining the forum but commuting too. Hang your head in shame.
