  • The French team with French bike sponsor and Warren Barguil riding the TDF dissolve their sponsorship with LOOK with immediate effect because of reasons

  • Oh, Barguil, in a recent interview, said that adapting to the Look bikes has been one reason for his poor results. Don't know if he will be happy or hopping mad now.

  • Is there anything weird about them? Assume no gimmicks like single chainrings...

  • Not that I know of, he didn't elaborate.

  • Probably doesn't work with his bonkers bike fit

  • Can't believe there's nothing in the contract preventing that. What happens now then? Will they get a replacement sponsor in time or will they all just ride their own bikes?

  • BH are set to supply them with bikes for the rest of the season.

  • I'm disappointed the squad isn't heading down to Decathlon en masse this Saturday morning to get sorted out. One of them would come out with a canoe and some horse tackle.

  • BH aren't Bwtin

  • 2 weeks to get team fitted to new bikes and paint jobs etc. is going to be fun

  • Yeah I know that. I was saying 'wouldn't it be funny if'.

I'll admit that, as a joke, it's withering under the lights somewhat.

  • This is a serious forum, please avoid attempts at 'humour' going forward

  • Justified burn.

    🤣

  • Just whack a 140 mm stem on each stock model, slam it and you’re done.

  • Armchair ds provides internet biek fit.

  • One of them would come out with a canoe and some horse tackle.

This is literally every one of my trips to Decathlon.

  • The mists are clearing; Barguil had binned off Look already and was riding a painted Argon 18 Gallium

  • Woah, can you do just do that or do you have to enter a special agreement with all parties? That's a lot different to wearing a de-branded Gabba.

  • I was probably thinking more of the TT bikes but then again

    French Team

    TT stage LOL!

  • It's as old as pro cycling itself. It's less common these days, granted, but it used to be very common for the top riders to ride a custom made bike by their builder of choice then rebadged as the brand their team rode.

I know for a fact that the bike Cipollini rode to win the Worlds at Zolder in 2002 was not a Specialized, because I was in the premises of a well known Italian bike builder when his team came to collect the new frame for the Worlds.

  • Did @hoops do the paint?

  • Fignon never rode a Raleigh, Indurain never won the Tour on a Pinarello. Cancellara had his frames made by his favourite builder, Ducati.

  • Did Lemond ride Serottas or something? Might be making that one up.
