Cheers. That's really helpful and cleared it up in my head.

Hi, it feels like it's slipping over but I'll check - I'm hardly the expert but never had this problem before with cogs that looked loads worse (granted they were probably used with same age chains..
To the other people that replied - thanks - but, really? Does it look worn out? How do I judge by appearance the state of wear? (it looks in good condition to me!) - (noob roadie) but the cogs look square enough etc...so what am I missing?
I got this on here with seller reporting 1000 miles done on it. Edit-I'm not blaming him though, he put good enough pictures up to see the wear. It's my mistake if worn out as it was sold as seen.

can I just check - I need 26mm bars for this stem I think? 25.4 is too small. It is a cinelli stem from I do not know when. it could be 26.4 potentially. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-handlebars.html cheers

26.4 was the common Cinelli alloy stem size until the 90's. AFAIK
Edit, just checked on Hilary Stones website, section on alloy Cinelli Stems and this does appear to be the case.

Undo the stem and take it out of the frame. You should find the diameter stamped in it.

@Constable_Savage didn't have it but thanks for the suggestion!

Can anyone recommend a cool trendy fashionable hipster roadie friendly little saddle bag?
Looking for something to take weight off the Jersey pockets on longer rides, to fill with tools, bananas etc

Something like this?

I was four days late submitting my (dormant) company account and so will probably be fined £150. Is there any way around this?

Is there any way around this?
Not for less than £150, taking civil servants out to lunch in the style to which they have been accustomed when being asked to ignore late filing will be at least £150 per head.

Is there some sort of linked broadband and mobile package where your mobile calls get routed through VOIP instead of cellular when you are in range of your home router?
It's for a holiday home where there is no mobile signal. (Sadly not my holiday home. I just got asked to solve the problem.)
The alternative is getting a landline number at the holiday home then fwding mobile calls to the landline while at the holiday home, but that means remembering to set it before leaving reception-land and take it off again when leaving. Which will never happen and I will get the blame.

The Vodafone sure signal does this. I assume there are other options too

I think O2 do some sort of WiFi / 4G set up where your phone if supported switches to WiFi when in range.?

Am looking for a courier service to pick up from mine and deliver in the UK. Who is best and by best I mean cheapest.
-
• #92094
Mobiles on 3 can do this irrespective of your broadband provider. They switch to WiFi calling if the cellular signal is shit.

Thanks @Dramatic_Hammer, @midlife and @aggi

Bit bigger?

It does exist, but it requires the right hardware at both ends (ie router and phone) plus the service provider. If you phone can do VoWiFi on the tube platforms (where the routers do support it) then you stand a chance. If that doesn't work, stick with skype.

EE also auto calls via wifi when connected and with low or poor signal

Cross post from DIY thread:
Calling all electricians...
We're having our downstairs bathroom renovated at the moment.
The previous owner seems to have bodged the electrics and taken the fan isolator, the underfloor heating (being removed anyway) and a plug socket for the washing machine from the upstairs ring via some dodgy wiring behind plasterboard I'm the ceiling and down the wall.
The washing machine is in a cupboard (with door) and we were planning to have that fully replaced with a stud wall and cupboard door in the new bathroom.
Obviously we need to have the wiring changed to come from the downstairs ring; the consumer unit is the other side of the same wall so that's not hard. The question is the socket for the washing machine...
What's legal in the UK? Can we have an open socket in the bathroom if it's separated by a cupboard door? What about a waterproof socket? Or wired directly in?

I have a week long training at Elizabeth House on York Road by Waterloo station next week. Where can I safely lock up my bike daily there? Training is all day long and although it is a relatively busy area, I would rather not have my bike on show if I can help it.
That cassette looks like one that I would consider replacing on account of the visible wear.
As has been mentioned, a new chain won't play nicely with it.
ETA - X-post near as dammit with @danstuff
