650b g-ones 42mm are great for the roads round me and am pretty keen to stick with that. roads here are shit, potholed, muddy and covered in farm detritus
so the question is 650b x 42mm but more knobbly or 700 x 35mm knobbly for off road duties
in MTB terms generally narrower wheels better for muddy conditions, but am wondering if 35mm is too narrow for general trail centre use
I currently have a 650b wheel set for my isen and have been using Schwalbe G-One speed tyres. I also have a pair of WTB resolute tyres (not yet used) for more offroad ventures.
I am assuming 650b G-Ones are a good wheelisize/tyre choice for road use.
Would WTB Horizons on 650b be a better offroad choice than a 700c wheel with a 35mm cyclo-x tyre?
Am considering making up a 2nd wheel set for the bike.
