yeah we did some fun stuff and some scary stuff
my current bike stable is n-1 where n = the number of bikes i should have for the steeper downhill sections
i also realised while sitting on my seatpost with it an nearly horizontal i should take back all the nasty things i've said about dropper posts in the pastfun day out though
crop did it rigid at both ends

The steep stuff on Pitch is a bit take it or leave it. The rest is fun tho.

Nice early start lads! I'm only en route to lbs to collect my bike after a fork service and then up to Ticknock (Dublin).

Strongly recommend not doing Peaslake fully rigid, my body is dead!

Don't be a wuss, I just rode this fully rigid (ok, my tyres are 27.5 x 2.8!):

Well, that made me feel old.

Happy days.
Skinny bars, iffy brakes, and suspension that was very prone to blowing seals and spilling it's guts or have an internal meltdown and stop working mid run.Yoofs today have it easy :)
ACC though, massive off, still slams the competition. :)

I thought it, but didn't have the heart to say it

Ticknock is good fun, I hadn't been there for a few years til last Christmas, so the up trail was new to me, and much nicer than just riding up the tarmac. It's pretty limited though unless you want to chance the unmarked trails.
Ballinastoe is much nicer to spend the day at as there are a lot more runs.

Don't be a wuss
Not all of us go round stuff - Howard jumps everything that's more than 3" high.
-
• #11566
Because nobody ever jumped a bike without having suspension.

@Nahguavkire Agreed, Ballinastoe is so much more fun! I can't wait to go back this Summer. I got chatting to a local who said if you drive further down from the main trail centre there's a lot more runs that are used in the Enduro World Series.

Popped my 29er up for sale, if anyone’s interested:

Aye, Djouce is just down the road and has some mega trails! There's some serious stuff at Ticknock too though but none of it is marked! They're doing some building up there at the moment and it looks super flowy... I just hope they don't lose the aggressive, technical rocky feel of the place while they're at it!
Meanwhile in #enduropacking news...

@Nahguavkire Do you know if it's still open then with them building? Only as I'm going back there soon to do a few weeks of riding. My favourite thing about the place is the rocks!
-
• #11571
Its still open alright, they had the National Enduro Champs there last weekend!
GAP bikepark in Glencullen is worth a day out too! Some very fun trails, food in the café is fantastic and the staff are all ace!
