  • Reading to the end of that BBC article it seems that he generally blocks anything that gets fast tracked through parliament without a full debate on a quiet Friday. Not that he's not a gigantic arsehole of course.

  • He was working in concert with Philip Davies, who filibustered for 2hrs so he'd be able to object right at the end. He also blocked a bill on attacking service animals.

    A pair of abject cunts.

  • Most cunty of cunts, but possibly not because he likes upskirting, although he probably does.

  • I don't know if that has long been done in the House of Commons; the first time I heard of filibustering was when someone filibustered in a US state parliament (or whatever they call it over there) for a record time a few years ago. I think that may have been a 'liberal'. I find it absolutely extraordinary that it's even permitted to waste scarce parliamentary time in this way.
