Wow...10 years ago. TBH I thought it was Well Street Common followed by East Drinks. I think there's a thread on here somewhere for it.

I had no idea I’d raced @taogeogheganhart - that’s pretty cool. Guess the numbers are how long you held off before being eliminated?
I’d be up for more grass track racing. How hard can it really be to set up?! Beckenham Place Park soon?

I just had a look--CCH aren't doing it at the moment. Could be a cool forum event.

Coming to this very late but yes, was definitely at Well St Common. Grass track racing was so hard, but so much fun.

Pretty sure the drunk TT also originated at easts.
Starting around 10pm, after way too many beers we would move outside and someone would take off down Grove Rd, around the Old Ford Rd roundabout, back to the Victoria Park Rd roundabout and then back to the Royal Inn. A good time pretty much depended on how many beers you'd had and how aggressively you handled traffic on the roundabouts.

I have video of that somewhere.

The state of some of the riders!

great times!

I think it was a two lap time trial from memory, I think there were different formats each week.

Norfs has/had the best TT.
I once ran it, @NurseHolliday drove it. I’ve puked on it while doing it drunk.
I’m pretty sure I did drunk easts once too.
Good times. -

I drove the East's TT once. The only time I ever did it sober.
I think the North one was started in response to the East's one. As in, "hold my beer East's, have we got a TT course for you". No way I'd ride that one. Hills are for nutters.

Got me all reminiscing now.
Who was on Dogsballs' Australia Day ride that went through Richmond Park at night with the deer stampeding next to us?
And the Cambridge ride in the dead of winter, where a bunch of hipsters in skinny jeans, vans and bare ankles left brick lane on their sweet fixies quite late in the morning (natch) and after an epic day found themselves 10 miles outside of Cambridge, freezing cold, with the sun setting and only a bunch of knog lights to navigate the country lanes. Cue panic and the quickest bunch sprint I've ever been in.

Still remember those deer (and Easts various TT formats).

The deer actually ran alongside for a while then cut directly across the road in front of us (in the dark with our lights switched off).
Magical. -

Jesus. All this reminiscing. And I’m at a Turin Brakes gig. I don’t know what fucking year it is. Is Tony Blair PM?

Turin Brakes
Love them

I think you were there, but left earlier, before the dancing.

was an epic end to a great night. Oz day ride, deers, beers and cleat-fucked veneers. some sweet memories from this place. And many more to pile on top.

I think I did Easts TT once and came in about 2 minutes slower than @hillbilly while also coughing up a lung. I can't blame it on the booze because I don't know if Jim ever did one sober?
I still haven't remembered who I gave a 650 innertube to on that freezing and snowy/icy bridges ride. I had my gf's tights on and plastic bags over my feet. Poorer times.

This was around 2009 I think, dark times.

I'm pretty sure @Sainsburys_Ed was there, too.
And @Sano, @Lebowski and @Gustav.
Also, Tom Williams may have been forum? I can't remember his username, though. Edit: @tomasito?
You've linked to a post about Mabley Green, so was it there or at Hackney Downs?
