Worn out bearings tend to spin better in the stand. New bearings tend to feel a bit draggy in the stand but when you ride, force through the pedals evens things out.
If something is wrong it tends to let you know by being noisy. See above...

Yes, a Wheels Mfg one. I’ll dig it out next week if you’re interested.

Okay great - that seems to match my experience. There was a noise issue before and I took it back only for the LBS to realise a spacer was missing when it was reassembled.

from my 1st ride yesterday I think it will, very comfy from what I've been used. feels very relaxed to ride, and that suits me.
My 1st new bike for over 10 years, have bought second hand all that time. it's a real treat having saved up over 5/6mònths to get it. There was a lot of enjoyment in that 1st ride.

Hello,
could someone please tell what kind of Bottom Bracket my bike has? It is a Cannondale R1000 (CAAD 8 frame) from 2005, the crankset is Cannondale Si carbon, and I am asking this because
I would like to replace the crankset. Thanks!

Hi, got a supersix evo hi mod 2016 and looking for a replacement lower head set bearing. The Manuel says it's 1 1/4 (kp203). The only place I found just the bearin for sale is here - https://qwertycycles.co.uk/collections/bearings/products/cannondale-1-1-4-lower-headset-bearings-supersix-evo-caad10-hdl004
But been out of stock forever. Anyone know were I can get just the lower bearing? Thanks -

What's the right price for a Cad3 in good condition ?
cheers -

Maybe just whip it round to your LBS, they'll probably have the correct bearing, I remember farting about with the headset for the 10, was a huge waste of time.

What is the difference between R500
and R1000

Would think BSA threaded; BB30 wasn't introduced till sometime during CAAD9 IIRC

Looks great. You're still in HK then. Discs do make particular sense out there. Often wished I had them when coming down the concrete path off Tai Mo Shan.
Do yourself a favour and get to Chiang Mai for a week of riding. It's amazing and cheeeaaap.
Can't work out where that is. Mt Davis? Somewhere on the west of the island?

Chiang Mai is a blast from the past, i lived there almost 20 years ago. Quick googling comes up with loads of interesting bike stuff, back then i had a hot rodded Honda dream but no one rode push bikes! I used to have to run up Doi suthep most weeks, can already imagine how much more fun that would be on the bike. Me and the CAAD 8 just got back from Japan, time to start planning my next trip east.
