A Clough & Taylor reboot?

Upsetting that Marcus “mini messi” Edwards is thinking of leaving.
Every young player needs playing time and his loan moves last season didn’t pan out so can understand if he doesn’t see a route to the first team immediately appearing for him he’d want to head somewhere else.
But part of the appeal as a spurs fan during the sheriffs reign has been the promotion of young players, and the prospect of another crop of players following mason, Kane, winks, into the first team makes me happy, especially one as talented as Edwards.
Also fear that the pressure to win something right fucking now or the past improvement is invalid, means we start to invest in proven experienced players rather than giving youth a chance.
We’ve got a bunch of young un’s who could be good enough josh onomah being first up and for pochettino to keep his reputation as a nurturer of young talent and to to keep spurs as place that young players want to come to, we need to make sure players like Edwards feel they can get into the first team..

In my dreams. I don't think we'll see anything like that in my lifetime though.

Larry White to Chelsea?
Really????7??seven?

Struggling to get excited about Laurent Blanc to Chelsea. His French team was about the worst I’ve seen in 25 years and a 66% win ratio is heavily padded by the PSG numbers.
I just hope our board back the manager and ask him to implement a blueprint for the future. As long as we are competing on all fronts and play decent football whilst integrating some youngsters I’m happy. The odd trophy would be a nice bonus.

I think Blanc would be a wonderful appointment.

He has a proven record in club football. Winning the league with Bordeaux during the Lyon dominance wasn’t something to be sniffed at the time.
The 3 league wins with PSG I’m not going to waste my time on.

Only because we didn’t turn Klopp’s head? Or do you actually rate him?
-
• #143563
true I'd forgotten his time at Bordeaux. Like I say I hope I'm wrong. He had a good rep back in 2010 as a forward thinking coach. let's hope he continues.
if true it's an interesting appointment and let's see where it goes. #neverdullwithchelsea -

Conte to Real Madrid? Would be a good move for him now that the Italian job has gone.
-
• #143565
Apparently it’s between Klopp, Conte and Allegri. Considering Real Madrid like to win trophies we should be able to rule Klopp out.

Does the Bundesliga not count then?

Amazon to show some premier league matches on Prime
-
• #143569
So now, if you want to follow football, you must have Sky BT Sport and Amazon and then find dodgy feeds for 3pm Saturday away games.
Breaking the monopoly has only benefited the televsion companies and football clubs and not the consumer.

JT to Derby? Free agent and could be huge support for Jody and Fat Frank.
-
• #143571
If you're finding dodgy feeds for the 3pm Saturday games then you don't need Sky, BT Sport or Amazon. Just watch the same dodgy feeds for the non-3pm Saturday games.
Sky couldn't buy any more of the packages. BT knew this and bid low. Amazon want in.
What it'll probably mean is the end of the stupid money coming from TV in this country, at which point the PL clubs that rely upon it (most of them) will be screwed.
-
• #143573
Amazon and BT sport are significantly cheaper than a sky package, so having to find less dodgy streams without paying for sky is good for this consumer.

Sometimes, it's really hard to make a good parody. Especially of something (ooh like Liverpool FC and their fans), which is beyond parody.
This is a good effort

Just turned on the England friendly to see Rashford belt one into the top corner, nice. Also thought the band weren’t there for one glorious minute - am I right in thinking they’re banned from Russia?
ooops silly me
