It was the bomb. Pasta is spaghetti with anchovies, dried tomatoes and torn burrata. Tiny bit of tomato sauce on the side. That was in Lucca. Good eats.

In less morbid but also painful news, was chuffed to find safari tent/apartment thing (I refuse to say “glamping”) i’m in here on the Tuscan coast has a proper Weber kettle barbecue and starter chimney. Did some great steaks, asparagus and courgette last night.

Have to say I regret tipping the flaming coals into the grill whilst wearing nothing but a towel. A handful of cinders fell through the bottom of the starter and bounced off the decking round my feet. I leapt back... and trod on a hot coal. Ffffffff.....
