What I meant is that it looks like a very big step in chainring sizes, more than what your typical front derailleur is happy with. No doubt it works fine though
A modern front dérailleur wouldn't work, but it's an old bike with friction shifters. It might actually be a double FD.
A modern front mech can work with friction shifting. Am I missing something?
