Why my SPOT tracker no update? I can't see a payment taken for 2018 but it says next renewal as 2019.

I once sewed some shorts which split at the front. And a strap on a carradice, and the neoprene ankle cuff on shimano winter boots. And the strap on my frame bag after I cut a bit off. But easy to get bits of sewing done in mending places for little money, could probably get toe covers adapted for £5.

And I do my own bar tape, although I never do it very well. Do you take bike in just for bar tape...?

His bike setup is about an entire bike less weight than mine. #hippyisfat

Did you sew this stuff on the road or at home?

I use my bartape until it's properly dead and it'll either go in with something else or the missus will have a crack at it.

Tool. I've not ridden a bike for days so gooch is probably fine.

The stupid pliers won't open. Useless. I've hosed it with GT-85 to see if it fixes anything.

All my bikes need retaping. I keep saying I'll do it when I clean them, but not sure if they will last that long

I have a brilliant Skeletool somewhere. Can't find the bastard though so I'm now packing the wife's Leatherman Dumbell Edition instead :(

@hippy you got me extra worried about the temps now so I've now packed ALL the cold weather gear.

I might just leave it out. Came in handy for nail trimming last year though.

It's meant to be warmer this year but I don't care, I'm taking more cold weather stuff than last year. If it's really too much you can always post it back. I posted stuff at Yellowstone and Newton.

Do you post it straight home or to Yorktown? I haven't been able to figure out how to manage a Newton/Yorktown general delivery if I don't make it there to collect it. There'll be a trip to the PO on Friday to figure this out but you may already know?

I posted it to the finish. POs will hold stuff. You can buy a $20 box that holds a fair bit of stuff.

The bit I'm not sure about is if I don't make it to Yorktown, what do they do with it? Can I give them my UK address as a return address? Or authorise somebody else to collect it?

Fucking SPOT tracker still not reporting. How bloody long does this thing need to get a lock. I'm sure it only took 5min last time.

I don't actually know what their redelivery/pickup options are. I don't plan for failure.
If something happens and I can't finish, I'll work the solution out then but not before I'm sure there's no alternative.

Do you have a hotel booked at the finish? You could also ask them if you can post stuff to that.
