You can buy a 3 bed flat in a private block overlooking Blackheath for less than that. Crazy times.

Why does Plumstead get no love in this thread?

Do they have clocks south of the river yet?

I lived in Woolwich 30+ years ago. I'm not going back if I can help it.

I dread to think what my son would do to that.

Time was invented South of the river. Or something.

My mum said they didnt have clocks facing South of the river when she was a girl... could of course be a bloody lie.

Does she pre-date Big Ben?

And how often?

Yes. Although she will be furious you worked it out...

Buyer has come back from holiday to see I re-listed the flat. Has now come back up from his 6% reduction to the price we agreed minus £500 for DPC.
Had 2 viewings today. Got 6 booked on Saturday. So I've said (and in all honesty I do) I need to think about it now.
His fucking around has made me re-think whether I should sell or not. Do I stick in a one bed flat in Didsbury, or go buy a three bed house in Teesside and travel for work. Foooook knows.
Being an adult sucks.

If you can afford a million, spend a million and stop looking in "up and coming" and "edgy" neighbourhoods and move somewhere less crimey that's already finished. North of the river.
Somewhere where you don't necessarily need a garage because it's safe to leave nice cars on the street.

Replacing a cill is about 1/2 days labour . . . Richmond
A bit of a dredge, but would you mind giving a ballpark on how much this could cost?
And should I be looking to do it before or after repairing the stonework? I'm erring on the side of after. Or at the same time.

That's a very random pick.

A million quid would have me living back home in Dulwich in a heartbeat.

I've lived in Islington, Highbury, Marylebone, Finsbury Park, Stepney Green and Clerkenwell, and can confirm that North/East London is filthy, crime ridden and full of cunts.
I'd rather not live there when South London is available instead, without the North London street furniture of stumbling crack-heads, moped-enabled snatch-muggers, acid-throwing youth's and the general filth and decrepitude.
I really like the place that Tenderloin posted (and which has been posted before), but it's in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking.

Meh, crime rate is much higher in Swiss Cottage and Hampstead than the nice parts in Zone 3 South London.
Swiss Cottage has the same count of reported crimes as Lewisham Central. I know that Tottenham and Hackney probably really skew the stats for North of the river, but it is meritless to suggest that it is lower crime than South of the river.

Do you want to stay in and around FoHi?
I always like the look of the townhouses Dulwich Estates have, but I'm guessing that equals leasehold?
It's like Merchant Ivory took a shit in an Ideal Home magazine.
