Not often that i get the perfect storm of sunny day and baby at the grandparents.
I'm toying with the idea of selling this to take the sting out of buying a full sus xc bike. Any ideas of the value? Full x.t, Syncros full carbon fork.

What's Epping like atm? Going tomorrow afternoon, Will I die if I try and ride my WTB Horizons or should I put my CX wheels back on?

Came here to ask that lol

It was a mix of dry and very squishy in places over the weekend with a fair bit of standing water still around. Didn't feel the need to wash the bike when I got home but did have to brush off a fair bit of mud. Might be better this weekend because it looks like the spring surge has happened in earnest and it's been dry.

I was in Epping on Tuesday, it was more muddy than on that Badger thing a couple of weeks ago. Too muddy; it's nearly bloody June.

Hmm sounds like I may fall over with slicks. Maybe I'll put out the CX wheels on...

Medium, 17".

Well, I just bought the marin frame from CTBM, thanks for helping me not buy the carbon fatbike. Utfs doesn't bring up any solid recommendations for an inexpensive wideish 27.5 (+) rim - any current suggestions?

WTB Asym i35 is probably the least expensive +rim I can think of that's not horrible and heavy. 29" is an option also.

The wtb scrapper is on sale at planet x. Ive got them on my 27.5 plus bike. They are propper wide and tubeless was a doddle.

29" is an option also.
Really? But not with fat tires in that frame I guess?
nukeproof neutron from CRC is very inexpensive, WTB asym i35 isn't too bad either but twice the price.

Yeah, you'd want to be running normal 2-2.4" 29er tyres, but that would be my preference - I wasn't terribly keen on even 2.4" tyres. Also, good fat tyres are really, really expensive.
29mm is probably not what most would consider optimal for true plus tyres, 35-45 would support the tread better. £40 is a great price for the Scraper at Planet X. Didn't see that.

I'm a bit behind (I still swear to 26") but are these bikes meant to use on steeper climbs?? That geo looks awfully lazy...
