  • Everton are a bit ungrateful in getting rid of Sam - he saved their season and got them as high in the league as they're realistically ever going to get. A delusional bunch...

  • I know.
It's levels of investment, expectation, being in the wilderness, and being the third most interesting club on Merseyside.

  • Allardyce's reputation is set now, and he's getting paid handsomely for firefighting for six months..
If they'd played prettier football, and still stayed up, he'd still be in a job. I wonder if he ever gets another chance at a biggish club? Do the issues with his reputation/style of football mean any club with European/Top 6 aspirations would employ him? Or is he going to have to take a step back and build a club for a couple of years, maybe drop back down to the Championship and bring one of them back up, to gain fan's faith and gratitude, and patience...

  • Much like Arsenal fans.

  • I'm grateful. I just don't see him being there next season is beneficial to the club. We only wanted him for 6 months. He bartered to 18 months knowing he'd get the pay off. Fair play to him and his bank balance.

    Glad he's gone though.
