There's a new zebra crossing on CS6 heading north to blackfriars bridge. So much reluctance to acknowledge it and flat out ignoring it going on. Got cussed/tutted at for stopping to give way to ped who was already on the crossing.

Good commute, other than a stretch on Camberwell new road where I was competing for cycle lane space with a car who kept wobbling in and out. Take a look inside, gourmless idiot on their phone losing their line every time they take a look at it.

Took a train to The London, massive delays, natch, and then what the fuck is with the pollen in your town? Are the trees trying to kill everyone? Had to rinse my eyes out when I got home.

This morning was ridiculous. I don't really suffer from hayfever but i could taste it this morning and now my eyelid's swollen to the point where it looks like I've been punched in the face.

CS7 northbound this morning, as I was coming through junction with Great Suffolk Street (Q1).

There was an HGV going northbound too - but he had stopped, completely obscuring my view of the junction - and my spidey senses were tingling with the possibility that he could be turning left across the (clear) CS7 without his indicator on. No way I'm risking that - so I stopped.

This prompted a surprised 'What are you doing?!' from the rider behind me, who swerved round me and almost came into conflict with the car that it turned out the HGV was giving way to...

Pulled up next to my fellow rider at the next set of lights and decided to opt for a smile and an 'I am happy to explain what I was doing if you like...', but she reached for her headphone wire and upped the volume a few clicks.

Fair enough...

Props to the lad on the scooter last night who asked if I was ok.

I was at lights sitting on top tube hanging my head down stretching my neck a bit but I guess it might've looked like I was asleep or dying.. anyway, nice to know some randoms out there still care.

I'm good but even I've not managed to fall asleep on a bike and keep it upright while stopped at the lights.

Some proper radge in an AO Delivery van jumped two reds going westbound on Theobalds Road, speeding up to get through both. They then decided to just drive all the way along the bus lane down Drake Street because the traffic was just too much for them to wait in it seems.

not been feeling my commute lately, tried changing routes but just made it worse.

treated my daily to a cheeky tire pump and chain oil this morning and I felt like a kid discovering cycling all over again - bike practically rode itself to work and I even exchanged a smile with a taxi driver.

basic maintenance - would recommend.

My commute currently has lots of these types of views.
