I have no idea. I'm almost hoping this experiment fails and I don't need to find my calipers...

Anyone has had any mole removed? Not cancerous mole or anything, purly cosmetic. It's funny you might laugh, it's on my back so even I can't see it myself, but don't ask me why I want it gone...
Anyway, can you recomend some place?
And the healing process? I guess it wouldn't hurt anymore than a small tattoo would?

Does it look like your avatar?
-
• #91258
I had one taken off my face around 20 years ago, courtesy of the NHS in Kings.
Talk to your GP?
Healing process wasn't anything sufficiently significant for it to be memorable. -

How big is it?
-
• #91260
You'll bid for it like everyone else, no cutting in.

I've got an inflatable mattress with a slow puncture somewhere.
I've been over the whole thing with a spray of soapy water, but no obvious bubbles.
Does the hive thing I could go to my LBS and see if they have any spare tyre sealant, squirt inside, then flip over?
Any other ideas?
Cheers.

I think the problem is that the mattress is too big for a small amount of sealant, which is usually sufficent on small inner tube/tyres.
Have you have access to a bathtub?
-
• #91264
I had that problem with a Thermarest, took it back to where I got it asking for advice and they just exchanged it for a new one.
-
• #91265
Yes. But this is a US queen size... So pretty big for a tub.
@withered_preacher- Thermarests are amazing. But this is a domestic jobby.

Right, you need these people.

What type of nut is this? Need to find a replacement. Came off a BMW seatpost. Tried local DIY and LBS with no luck

It's probably a BMW seatpost nut

A local fixings & fasteners supplier would be a better place to look.

• #91270
That's not like a nut that I've ever seen before.
I recon your best punt is to try the OM - BMW - BMW? Are we talking pushbikes here? -
• #91271
Useful.
-
• #91272
Thank you. Worth a shout
-
• #91273
Yes. But they arnt open / making bikes atm.
-
• #91274
My guess - and it's only a guess - is that BMW aren't, and have never been, set up for manufacturing bicycles - someone else was (plausibly) making the bicycles for them.
It might be worth pursuing that, if you are after spare parts. -

Useful
I think the word you're looking for is facetious :)
Jurek gave the non-facetious version of the same answer - it's a proprietary design, there is no standard nut which looks like that. The spherical part seats in a matching recess in the rail clamp presumably? The general term is a spherical seating nut, but they usually come with matching washers and have a hex portion for a wrench opposite the washer part.

Ta.
Have you got a headset cap in your inventory that'd suit whatever the hell is on the Shiv?
