There are so many! I'm sure there was a list before, of club 10s, in excel or so.

I didn't enter after the fucking debacle that was the last one. 8hrs fucking driving to throw a chain.
I thought about it but entered the H25/1 the day before coz I'm kinda over 49 hunting now. Need to focus on ultras. There's another one on there a week later, no?

For the south/south east Londoner, there's the CC Bexley 10s on the Q10/27 Wednesday evenings.
Sadly the course used these days is a lot slower as they had to alter the start and end points due to complains from NIMBYs in Eynsford. But saying this, they used to have to turn people away, but now you're virtually guaranteed a ride.

Think these guys http://www.whitewebbscc.co.uk/club-event-results-2017.html do an evening series. There is another north London club as well I think.

Chris Boardman has opened his own wind tunnel and the prices aren't absolutely terrifying. Arms race ahead?
-
• #17661
It's the same price as aerocoach.
I doubt you'd get many more sessions per unit time than aerocoach.
I wonder who runs the tunnel, it's all about the operator and their knowledge.

It's the same price as aerocoach.
For number spaces where 745=500 :)
-
• #17663
Aeroach is £550 no?
And it’s 2 hours. So that’s 500 as boardman.
I know aerocoach is paired. But including bike adjusting it’s be such a small difference. I go so many runs done when I did a pairs session. Not sure we could have done much more solo.
-
• #17664
aerocoach is paired
Not comparing like with like then. If the arrowcock model of striping 2 players across the facility is a good idea (it is), then Boardman will rip it off soon enough and you'll be looking at £350 in the Boardman tunnel versus £550 on the velodrome.
-
• #17665
I might admit, some time trial list do look like an arrowcock!
Yes, so some price difference. But it’s not huge. As before, the operator makes such a difference. I wonder who will operate the Boardman tunnel.
-
• #17666
I got the impression it was aerocoach that were going to be running it. But that might've just been me guessing based on tweets.

I got the impression it was aerocoach that were going to be running it
From the tweets, it looks more like they were just having a look at the facility, maybe with a view to using it. If that's the case then tunnel +xavierdisley would be tunnel fee + xav's personal fee.
-
• #17668
the operator makes such a difference
Yes, which might mean that aerocoach is better value even at a ~50% price premium.
-
• #17669
Ah yes, we start next Tuesday..
Look forward to seeing LFGSS people there.

• #17670
Marcin just broke the Comp record with a 42:53 on the welsh course!
-
• #17671
INSANE!
-
• #17672
on the welsh course
On which lane of it?
-
• #17673
I’m sure we will find out soon enough!
-
• #17674
Almost 35mph! Hard to comprehend.
-
• #17675
Ridiculous! Hats off to him.
