Hijacking this awesome (and sad at times) thread - NW silver chainrings, do they exist? Just for aesthetic reasons, retro conversions, silver components and all.

They do! I have ordered this cheapo stuff from Taiwan (the silver was already sold out).
I guess the more common BCD's will have higher amount of colour options to choose from. -
Seems the J&L rings on eBay come in silver. Out of stock in 130/110mm BCD but there are 4-bolt 104mm BCD ones.

I would encourage you to get a NW ring or something though, I went over the bars the other day after my chain came off whilst I was standing up on the pedals! Cross-chaining, weak derailleur springs and dodgy old worn chainrings is probably not the safest combo.
