They told me at the lbs that there's a good chance the frame was from a stolen bike, and when they cut away the U-lock it bent the frame there. No info about the actual origin of the frame, I bought it off from a local FB group, so yeah, the possibility is there. Gonna throw the frame itself away, but I'll keep all other components, maybe I can use them someday.
Pity though, so few retro MTB's come with this kind of geometry (almost square st-tt length).
How on earth did the previous owner manage to dent it on the inside of the chainstay?
