Our experiences may differ depending on which firmware is on the device. I have not updated mine since about 2013, as there is no way to rollback to an old version and their firmware is shit at best.

I'd have to check what ver mine is on.

I tried that Pause, let it auto power down thing on the way out of the gym the other day and mine didn't lose anything. Is it an intermittent issue?

Iditarod trail invitational is on right now, tracking is here.
And indeed so is Bikingman Oman. The event site is here , but I haven't seen tracking anywhere. They do post instagram live videos. Josh Ibbett and Juliana Buhring are there. The first riders will finish soon. But:
Bastien Fontaine (Race Leader) has been disqualified from Bikingman
Oman effective immediately. Due to unrelenting fatigue he was using a
personal vehicle for the purposes drafting. This contradicts the race
rules and the penalty has been imposed.https://www.instagram.com/bikingman_ultra/
So the leaders are now: 1. Rodney 2. Paul 3. Jason 4. Josh

Love to... but once again I'm taking the piss with time off work already this year.
-
• #1766
Maybe next year.
I'm also trying to do a rando-version o the race to ride it when you want.
Something similar to the Super Randonneur where you can homologate the kilometers of the trip, traveled on your own, to the Parisien, but that will have to be by 2019. -
• #1767
That'd be kinda cool. I've not ridden much in Spain (not the mainland anyway) so it's definitely on my todo list.

Texas Overland Wheel Race
Apparently it's in October, which is a good time of year. But they have mandatory 6 hour rest periods (which I think is shite)
Here is the route.
