It's on its way back to you with the dented rim! Only about 150 km on it unfortunately.

Did you hit a pothole or kerb to dent the rim?

I'd say so, although it wasn't a spontaneous kind of failure, as it was on my way out for a ride that I noticed it. Strange one. My rim does have a dent in it. Anyhow, it's in @cycleclinic's able hands now (or 2 working days).
