Gotta share my first win in Solo (Xbox).

All kills with 4x/8x SKS - very satisfying.

Managed to get in a small ring with another 7 players and was in pretty good position letting others fight and when it started moving again, had to do a brave run for a hay stack, which ended up getting shot few times, but somehow managed to survive that by doing a rabbit moves.

Suddenly noticed that it’s only me a another guy and we both knew our rough position.

That’s when my heart rate went from kinda calm to like 160BPM - literally.
I had this kind of heart beat when I finished Cape Cycle Tour (109km) this year in March.

The guy was loaded with at least 7 grenades, which he started randomly throwing towards my position, but luckily they weren’t too close. I was patiently laying, managed to swap from 8x to 4x scope and then I spotted him in front of me - not knowing about me with Level 3 helmet.

And that was it - Chicken Dinner.

What a joy.

I'd have to disagree on MGSV. While it's the game that's disappointed me the most, the mechanics were incredibly solid, and the engine was amazingly well optimised.

Sure, getting Kiefer Sutherland in to record a couple of lines of dialogue for the entire story, which wasn't finished off, and resulted in more questions than answers was all a bit shit. As well as setting it in a bland open world, there was definitely a lot of missed opportunity. But it's still an absolute joy to play.

Just been given a PS3. Came with red dead redemption, a few call of duty titles, FIF, GTA V and will probably get far cry 3.
Any recommendations on other games I should get from the back catalogue? Like FPS, sandbox games, RPGs mostly single player as I'm not fussed about multiplayer. Have heard good things about little good planet 2. Any others, indie titles or little gems?

Bloody internet is bust at home. Total first world melt down, no desktop PUBG and no Netflix.

Managed pubg mobile on 4g though, prob about my 6th game and felt a bit like Shroud/@CYOA (same person? Anyone seen them in a room together).

Im defo past the bots phase but it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Nice. I can’t hit a thing with the 4x, I have no idea why. Sks with 8x is a dream though.

I was trying some long distance kar + 8x yesterday and it was a shit shot. Couldn't hit a thing. Silenced as well so they had no idea where I was and weren't in cover. Three guys all grouped together. Shambles.

Ta. Have played Fallout Vegas so will give 3 a try. Had played way too much Skyrim on the pc so may give Oblivion a whirl. Have to get through Red Dead Redemption first though!

cracked open the ps4 and played a good few hours of horizon zero dawn because that's what it came with - a game title that makes absolutely no sense i hasten to add, at least thusfar. fuck my soul but games have come a long way. the game is gigantic and it looks fantastic. where are the interminable loading screens? it is wizardry i shit thee nay!

also: i suck at games.

I think the SKS + 8x has some sort of tracer as its pretty east to follow the shots, unlike the Car which is hell on earth?

You can see where they land, just need to hold down the fire button so the scope stays in place. Stupidly I forgot about that and was trying to squint about 500 metres in the distance.

OHHHHH didnt even know that... will try if I ever have the internet again.

So I've just broken farcry 5. I was playing last night and was 2 missions into the game when someone gave me a plane, ended the plane mission and still had a plane so flew across the map and shot at the statue of the bad guy destroying it and triggered a mission that should be much later in the game, parachuted onto the statue rather than fighting my way into and up it, burnt the book mission complete. The game is now full on tripping out spawning teams of guys with m60s and rocket launchers along with gunship helecopters everywhere and the occasional plane that can bomb you for an instakill if you are in/near a car.

Assuming this is an ESO thing... I'm not a fan of that game but this is amazing...

If anyone wants some pubg or pubgm I'm around.
