• So today was a good day. Weather fantastic, not working for once (bar on my portfolio) and also the maiden cycle for Routtie.
Still needs a bit of setup but runs beautifully. Fits perfectly right from the start so couldn't ask for more. The ride is amazingly smooth but surprisingly lively and responsive, I think they've fettled with the forks and geo a bit making for a much more road-geo ride. Almost feels like my V1, like you can chuck it around and it'll do anything you ask of it. But it weighs a tonne less ;)
Brakes are a bit spongy so that's going to be a job for the LBS who set them up..
Few pics below, sorry for their crap quality. Close ups of of Parlee front mech clamp, Carbone ST clamp and King Ti cages :)
I've decided I definitely need different tyres though. The roads are absolutely atrocious around here, not to mention the lanes. And I always find myself in the middle of a field or path and as can be imagined these road numbers don't do well there. Any suggestions for some 28c gravel type numbers? I don't want anything huge or with high rolling resistance as I still do about 75% on the roads.
And I think an Easton EC90-SL 110mm stem will be coming next week, need to swap the Thomson out!
