I’m out of chain lube at home and need an emergency alternative for a ride tomorrow am. Would olive oil suffice?

How much of an emergency? Just leave it if its got some on, or if its really, super, mega dry give it a good clean with gt85 or similar and lube up properly when possible.

I've use olive oil before.
It works but doesn't last.
One ride should be ok.

My 6870di2 is in crash mode after hitting a pothole nobody in a race bothered to call out.
Holding down the button for 5 seconds does cycle through the gears when spinning the cranks, but doesn't bring the di2 out of crash mode. Any ideas?

Edit -it was a loose wire in the shifter that I could have sworn I did check but oh well

I'm not sure whether it being Extra Virgin makes a difference...

Is there a trick to removing a wheel from a frame with mudguards and horizontal dropouts? Or should I just remove the dropout mudguard?

deflate the tyre completely, loosen the mudguard?
