Inbred 853

Picked this up of the forum a few months ago

Currently at the powder coaters getting coated in Kawasaki green. No particularly radical plans, just to build as a nice single speed to try and get fit over the summer. Documenting here to ensure I keep some focus as much as anything.

will need to replicate this on the new build. Will get the On-One decals in orange I think to contrast with the green. Is it worth doing a rattle-can clearcoat over the top of them?

Are you getting the official On One decals or eBay cheapies? I got the latter and they're fine, but after a mere 3 years of daily commuting in all weathers they're showing signs of wear.

Needs cheapo decals with no clear coat for authenticity.

I can understand wanting to keep the 853 decal, the other one, not so much.

No decals. Just write 853 with that stickon gold italic stuff that people put on their boats in the 70s.

Some bling

The Middleburn chainset unfortunately has a pedal spindle completely jammed in the NDS. Probably will require drilling out. I'm away for the weekend now so sadly progress will halt again for a while.

Also I can't find any 853 stickers on eBay, any ideas please?

I feel like this is going to be disgusting and garish in the best possible way

So your cranks are ‘two piece’, yes? The spindle and NDS crank are one thing?

This has inspired me to think about a touring roughstuff 27.5r or 29r built out of an On One and readily available bits ...

How much was the powdercoat?

Is the geo the same between the 853 inbred and the normal ones? What's the weight difference?
