Can anyone tell me why it’s OK for tyres to be essentially single-use?
For the same reason as condoms are single use. You could make either more durable if you made them heavier, but people wouldn't enjoy using them.

You can get a version of Loc-Tite from Wilcos that contains rubber, which supposedly makes it more suitable for gluing up holes, but IME it doesn't hold, though I might have been quite hasty in waiting for it to dry.

Cue tyre jizz lolz...

Also what exactly is the flexible superglue people have mentioned around here?
Any rubber toughened cyanoacrylate adhesive. Examples are Loctite 480, Sureloc RT80, CTA 1135, Permabond 737, Powerbond RT300B etc.

Mine have self sealed perfectly and quite a few times.
Are people using them at too high a pressure so the sealant can’t actually work?

85/90 doesn't seem too high to me? Have I been doing it wrong?
-
• #2159
Possibly, 25mm or 28mm?
Tubeless aren’t going to get pinch flats so pressure can be lower than tubed.

That's a rear tyre pressure for me with 25C Pro One and 105kg rider weight.

I'm a lot lighter than that, but yes, it's a 25c tyre.

Spit on it (seriously).

Fuck me, it’s the same questions and same advice just on rinse and repeat on this thread.
The OP should just write a summary of what to do.
But he is a lazy cunt who’d rather snipe from the sidelines.

So
What are the most common issues and solutions?
I want to edit the OP to be a quick reference for people who are new to or struggling with tubeless
-
• #2169
I want to know what to carry in case of fails.
None tubeless = pump, tubes, patches.
Tubeless = ? -

I want to edit the OP to be a quick reference
Nice idea, but in my experience nobody ever voluntarily reads the first post once the thread goes past one page, so you're just going to get all the questions you've answered posted ad nauseam, and no amount of responding with "Read the first fucking post" is going to have any effect on subsequent enquirers.

I haven't had a full deflation on either road bike since switching to tubeless a year ago. Probably complacent.. adding flexiglue and a patch kit seems wise.

I predict that you'll remain a facetious cunt :)

I resemble that remark
Also what exactly is the flexible superglue people have mentioned around here? I’ve asked in a few hardware shops (I know, actual shops, I’m a relic from another age) but recieved blank slackjawed stares.
