Anyone got any idea about daffadil seeds. I bought a load from eBay and sprinkled them liberally in the garden, they were cheap but I haven't got even one flower.
Do they have to be planted from bulbs?
If so how do they reproduce in nature?
Ultimately the plan was to do some guerrilla planting on the grass verges across the road. But looks like it's already failed. -

In nature the bulbs get smaller bulbs added to the main clump that's why if you divide every couple of years they flower more , that's what I love about nature it's always win win except if your a squirrel eating my sweet corn....

So what is the natural way of propagation without human intervention?
I heard about the bulb division, but then what is the purpose of the seeds?
I know we can.cultivate them indoors and then plant the bulbs but I was more interested in mass planting via seeds outdoors.
Not possible? Seems odd? -

Suggests 3-5 years for seeds to blooms.

Anyone know what this lovely delicate purple flowered plant that's come up in my lawn this year is? A nice colourful addition (even though I've no idea how it got there).
All through the front lawn too.

Hi WW perhaps Daffs are not best suited for the guerrilla gardener unless you dig in a few bulbs, I'm guessing that Daffs are not native to this country so began here via bulb rather than seed, hope this helps a bit
Just buds as yet.
