I’m sure I will fuck it up. ☠️

I have no knowledge in these things, but suddenly the bike will not shift to bigger cogs on the cassette - stops in the middle of the cassette, when I'm trying to shift to bigger cogs.

Upper/lower limit screws set properly?

Thanks for the reply, but I have no idea :D (Everything worked fine in the beginning of the ride)

Check connections, then check connections...then re-check connections. Also asking the obvious. battery charged?
Loose wires was one of the most common things I encountered. Either bar tape too tight, or too loose. -
• #3007
Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?
-

I have no knowledge in these things.
Check battery charges, check the status on the junction box under stem, and if nothing, get it diagnostic.

• #3009
Thanks all - I will return it for diagnostics :)

Sounds like it might have gone into crash recovery mode?

The FD stops before the RD stops if the battery is flat.
But the first thing I'd do is check limit screws and charge it.
Then hold the junction box button and check light colour.

Ooh handy to know. It will almost certainly happen to me somewhere without internet to work out how to get out of it.

Thanks - problem solved (must have hit the cage on a faulty in-clip).

No problem - had it happen to me once and I was mystified as to what was going on. Glad you've fixed it.

Now taking bets on if this actually works or not....

Not as great as the oic above but I’ve just year upgraded to 6870 shifters and front mech having been on an 11 speed 6770 combo.
Here are a couple of pics of my sprinter and climber button hack. Cut a sd-50 cable in half to get 2 connectors. These wennt into the sprinter ports. Then with 2 momentary switches on each side connected by the spare sd-50 cable. I tried button switches last year on my etap but in the rain they shorted and the gear changed :(. Got some waterproof switches which are also really shallow and they work fine so have used the same on here.
The bar tape needs some work. It’s Wiggle’s own brand and the first tine I’ve used ‘arf and ‘arf tape so it’s not a great wrap (down tome not the tape). I’ll use it for a month or so and if it’s any good replace and get the colour change in the right place. I might also get a different switch for the sprinter position. It’s a bit hidden.

Ultegra r8000 short cage di2 rear mech (SS, not gs) - it's rated to 30t cassette. What's the likelihood I can squeeze a 32t cassette in there?
In answer to my question some months ago-
It works excellently. -

Hi all, new to electronic and have picked up a pair of 6770 shifters - is this group worth pursuing? Or should I just keep saving for etap?
if anyone wants rid of comparable Di2 parts to get me on the road please drop me a message - I may be back later with some stupid questions about batteries, cables and the like!
Cheers!

Depending on the firmware loaded on the FD/RD (if you are buying second-hand) you can in theory run a hybrid 6770/6870 group as you would only need an 11 speed 6870 RD and could use either FD. After mid-2014 firmware means you need matchy FD/RD.

How much are you after for the mech and shifters? Have you got any pics please? I’ve destroyed mine in a crash.

i'll take some pics and let you know a price
Carefully key the area where your gonna stick it first too if it’s the stem I just painted for you, as it’s been wet sanded and polished, so is super smooth. You’ll get a better bond on a slightly keyed surface.
Don’t fuck the paint up tho, innit!
