Interesting. The questions I would initially ask myself are:
- Are the hub bearing loose?
- Is the wheel firmly affixed to the fork via bolts or quick-release?
- Here's a good one: If it's a thru-axel, is the outer diameter of the hub end-caps the same as the cut-out recesses that accept them on the inside of the fork legs? If the recesses in the fork are too big, the hub may move in relation to the thru-axel.

I built a dynamo front wheel a few months ago. Alpkit LuvMud unit with Alexrims rim and DT Swiss spokes. All seemed good but I recently noticed a clunk when braking. Assumed headset loose, no. Checked calliper tightness, ok.
Yesterday noticed when braking the whole rim jumps to the left (towards the disc) by 4 or 5 mm. clearly this is not correct.
Any thoughts on a solution?
