It has 2cm more drop than the KS post but looks a bit naffer. Not sure how the 5 different settings would work, the KS post is linear.

Thanks freddie!

Probably works in a similar way to the tmars ones but with more holes for more positions, it has got much better cable routing and seat clamp though. I'm kinda tempted because mine is fucked and that does look better but might go for something slightly fancier, or convince my boss he doesn't need the xfusion one on his krampus.

True dat. It'll only interfere with his bikepacking gear.

Can anyone suggest a singletrack/trail centre with a hire shop near Halifax/Bradford area? Doing some serious googling but not having much luck.

What's going to be the best width of rim for a bike which runs 2.4-2.6" tyres the majority of the time, with occasional use of 2.2". 25mm?
-
• #11259
Anything between 25-30mm internal width would suit. After a bit of experimenting, I prefer 30mm for 2.4-2.6 and 25mm for 2.2-2.3, depending on how accurate the tyre sizing is.
This DT Swiss chart is a good place to start with modern rim/tyre combos.
Also the Stans' guide.

Just get a 9point8 Fall Line. They're beast.

And also more than 50% of the cost to build up my bike.
And that’s including replacement tyres and paying an lbs to bleed the used disc brake.
What’s an acceptable % of total build price on a seatpost to other people??? I think I’d settle on 10% which would actually only be £65 for me.

Just get the cheapie KS one

Gumwall Tyres suitable for British springtime?
26inch?
I can't find anything. -

Not quite a trail centre, but maybe Blazing Saddles in Hebden Bridge would do the job, with one of their demo bikes and their local knowledge and maps to point you in the right direction?

Thanks. Some cheap SunRingles over at Bike24 that are a smidge over 25mm internal that'll work well I think. I'll most likely be running 2.4" Continentals which are infamously undersized anyway.
