Anyone have a copy of the BCC Southern urban Hills route? Pretty sure I've seen such a thing on Strava or may be I'm imagining it.

Go west! This is a nice route if anyone ever has the urge to cycle to Swindon / Highworth. Last third is beautiful empty roads and countryside. Bloody lovely cafe at the exact midpoint: http://wellingtonfarmshop.co.uk/cafe/

Routes North West out of London anyone? Strava Chilterns route looks OK, but looking for something to Oxford or Aylesbury. How's riding straight up Edgware road? https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26871625

Ridden back to my parents in Oxford a few ways - this is my preferred route. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/13400539
The stretch from Watlington to Oxford isn't very inspiring, but its fast. -

Looking to ride out to Milton Keynes on Saturday, is this likely to be the best route?

Any thoughts gratefully received

Too late now, sorry, but Object's route on the Math Geeks ride was pretty good:

Start and end points not quite what you want, but adaptable easily enough. And it belongs in the Routes Database in any case.
(London to Milton Keynes / Bletchley for searchability purposes.)

I ended up roughly following the above (unfortunately my Strava crashed a couple of times so no route to share)...ended up with a few gravel and farm track segments which were fun

Rode this last night. What a view at the end!
Don't suppose you have the RWGPS of the North Hills do you?
Someone's also set it up as a Strava segment! -

Here you go
Obvs you don't have to visit Kings Cross or the Cafe.
Enjoy, but South hills is better imo

Oh wow! Thanks! That looks even more difficult to follow than the South's route. Tried to ride it again last night but my turn by turn fucked out so was a bit screwed.

Is there a France routes thread anywhere on here?
Or any good advice on riding in central France?
I'm going to be there for the first 2 weeks in April. Will be in Centre Val de Loire region around Moulins, Bourges, Nevers, Sancoins etc approx 150km north of Auverne and Massif Central.
I suspect it's a bit early in the year to head up Puy de Dome etc but wondering if anyone can recommend any other good climbs or other routes in the area as it's completely flat where I'm staying as far as I'm aware.

-
• #697
Ooh, when are you there? That's my childhood neck of woods.
You could ask @dancing james who is now a local.
-
• #698
I could ask some of my club mates
Where are you starting from?
-

Not sure when I’m going but soon....ish and absolutely no idea where to starts or finish. Haven’t been since I was a nipper and it’s only 50 miles from my mums so was thinking of driving over and concentrating on the hills . Problem is I’m not sure which roads on the maps would be traffic heavy etc .
Really nice to hear from two old faces ( not literally) hope you boys are in fine fettle -

I've been designing this stupid SE gravel, parks, mud and cobbles route. A ribinou route. Anyone have suggestions to add? I'm looking for snickets, alleys, mews' etc.
I’m from Suffolk (Wickham Market) but weirdly have never done any proper ‘big’ rides there, bar the dynamo and London-home. I know there’s a few Suffolk boiiis on the forum. Anyone got any good routes to recommend around 70 miles?
