  • Hello mudguard peeps. Can I get some advice?

    I have had some guards put on my Freddie Grubb. I got them for peanuts on here and then the nice men at Herne Hill Bicycles fitted them for me. They needed longer stays and new bolts etc.


    As you can see, the rear guard is "gapped" near the seat tube, using a cable tie, to facilitate the removal of the wheel from the semi horizontal forward facing dropouts.

    It looks a bit meh.

    Is this the usual approach to the situation?
