Upright bike with mudguards and a jacket (no waterproof trousers): absolutely fine.

Unnecessary update: I still love my upright bike.

I still don't have any guards big enough for the new bike. Probably should fix that.
Or maybe get a big set for the Inbred and turn that into a wet weather beastie.

My worry now is the shoes that I made to ride it with yesterday:

I'm not sure that cutting holes in the soles of a pair of converse with a Swiss army knife, then stuffing in old Sidi soles with a thin in-sole on top will be totally water proof.
