It's not like there are people at the roadside with painkillers, front wheels and a bowls of spaghetti.
Got a source for that, as mine would disagree.
-
• #1356
oh shit, yes.
-
• #1357
and a bowls of spaghetti.
Got a sauce for that, as mine would disagree.
-
• #1358
No sauce, ha. Maybe durianrider can confirm when they reach Adelaide.

Frenchman Alexandre Bourgeonnier did a serious detour during the TCR one year ago due to his ewerk. not the dyno hub though

At Nullarbor roadhouse. That 184k was a bit whacky. Had an hour nap in a bush. Changed gears - twice. Finally made it. Now to try and push on to Nundroo, another 144k away. After that, there’s no more huge mandatory legs between possible refuelling. What a relief. Pawel is already there though... hoping he’s having a biiiiiig sleep.

Joe, we arnt paying you to laugh, get back on that sweet fixeh.

Abdullah, not using a dynamo. Shock horror
-
• #1367
Solid ride from Joe yesterday.
414km. 1000m @ 20.8km/h
Wonder if he’s been DAS’d yet.

• #1368
Cool, Abdullah's vegan, too.
-
• #1369
Yeh he’s a bodybuilder by trader. Cycling’s the bit on the side

Been riding 48/17 for the first 520km. Then since then been flipping between 48/16, 48/19 and 41/19 depending on wind / energy. Smashed that last 250km and those rolling hills with 48/16 and will probably stick with that gear unless headwind picks up. I prefer my legs having some support when out of the saddle instead of just falling out from under me as smaller gears do.
-
• #1371
Also may have sussed my knee pain... My saddle bolts had loosened off and saddle has been slowly shifting backwards. Hopefully should sort things - although the knee is starting to feel better anyway
-
• #1372
My moving speed is good.. just need to stop taking so many unnecessary 3 minute breaks
-
• #1373
That's the hardest thing, as always, on ultra's. Not wasting time for anything else than recovery is so hard!
Your gearing seems quite nicely managed. Have the best ride you can and enjoy it, even if its suffer fest now I believe

Shit, I'm now an illegal mood enhancer.
