Thanks. Have established that it's hex barrel nuts I need. Now to find somewhere I can go and by 30 each of a bunch of different sizes in London.

You may be better removing the existing bolts and putting in some insert nuts and then you can use a standard M4 Screw.

I was planning on using tnuts but upon closer inspection of the cabinet I realised that's not possible due to the way it's built.

The things in the link you posted are inserted into a hole from the same side as you would thread the bolt in to?
