Tyre removal recommendation: finally a good tire lever

The VAR tyre tool does kinda the same thing but is small enough to fit in a jersey pocket. I’ve got a couple of very tight wheel/tyre combos and this hasn’t skipped a beat...

Who ever breaks a Pedro? That's exactly the reason why I use Pedros, because they are the only ones that never snapped so far, and I use them a lot.

And by the way, I only need one of them, too. Never understood why you need more than one.

Depends on the tyre rim combo. I snapped mine because I was being lazy and trying to patch it without removing the tyre. This meant I didn't get the tyre slack before trying to pop it off = much more force required = bang kapow snap batman and robbin splat

What's the latest, greatest lever in the tyre lever world? Down to 1 shitty Park (as 2 have snapped), and need some replacements.

Better technique, I think I use levers on about 5% of the tyres I remove at most, and even then anything shit generally works fine once you've created room for it.

You've obviously never tried putting Charge Splashbacks on Ritchey WCS Vantage rims.

At home a Crank Brothers to get them off and a KoolStop to get them on. Not cheap but your thumbs and knuckles will thank you.

I use Pedros levers. They're rudimentary but great, feel pretty much indestructible.

Went for the Schwalbe levers.

WTB Cross Boss in WTB rims. The final boss of tight fitting, won't even try without levers

Campag levers are my favourite, after snapping a few tacx ones. But note you need to buy two.
The missus has a VAR speedlever and it's great.
