Anatolia on Mare St for Turkish, or one of the Vietnamese restaurants on Mare St, both delicious, both cheap.
Rawduck if you fancy spending a bit more cash.
Hill & Szrok for amazing meat, probably get a seat for one, it's on Broadway market.

Parted out a chicken, and chucked it in a buttermilk* marinade.
Tomorrow - southern fried chicken.
* No buttermilk in the shop, so creme fraiche, milk & lemon juice. Also salt, pepper, gochugaru (in the absence of cayenne), garlic granules, sweet smoked paprika, oregano (fresh, as I couldn't find the dried)

Anyone who's been to one of the Eataly stores elsewhere should be pretty excited by this

I went to the NY one a fair bit when I was working in the Flat Iron building and it was pretty good for eating in and buying random stuff. Not sure whether it will be as good in the City though.

I can’t get the video to play but the opening frame has someone cutting into a bagel with a knife and fork. They can get fucked.

I've got the one on the left, it's great... My father-in-law is about to give me his small charcuterie fridge, he's upgrading...
I bought this yesterday, €10... Wanted a plain steel one but it would rust in 5mins back in OzLand...

Just had the best lunch, deep fried cuttlefish to start then very young trout deep fried in oil flavoured with pig lard... Astonishingly good, seven trout per portion for €9... Burp...

A place called Casa Presedo, no relation, in the deepest, darkest corner of the province of A Coruña... That isn't the best place for trout either, the best place, Berxa, has a freezing cold dining room according to my cousin... So we didn't go there... A la carte menu, €64 for five including wine, mineral water and coffee... Loads of places like that around here, there must be online guides... My dad's brother found this place, he knows all the out-of-the-way spots...

Heading up that way this summer. Just saw your google review - will give it a go!
Sorry to be so general, but any recommendations for somewhere I can pop into on my own in the London Fields/Broadway Market vicinity at about 5:30-6:30 for a quick, tasty bite to eat before I go to Institute of Light for some beers tonight?
