Just received a dvla threat of a fine for a vehicle that is very clearly parked on private land and hasn't moved in about a year. Vehicle not clamped or ticketed because it's obviously on private land
Best way to fix this? Letter says it was "seen" on a street that's 200m away. So I reckon it's an automated system that has seen the registration across the junction and road down to where it is parked and thought "yes, got one, issue a ticket". But the folk in the van have thought better of it. They clamped about 6 1-3 year old cars in the same Street so we're defo out on a busy day
You should be able to appeal I would have thought - phone them or write to them.
I had a similar issue although with the borough council who issued the letter. They had an online system to appeal and they sent me a letter saying after I appealed thereād be no fine or further issue
Have fun with that. DVLA are a pain to deal with and does not compute they made a mistake. One letter to DVLA, if the DVLA don't cancel the fine write to your MP.
