Chas Roberts Lo Pro

I am regrettably putting my Roberts Lo Pro up for sale. I dug it out of somebody's shed in awful condition and I've spent the time since getting it back to what it should be.

Not sure on tubing but I have been reliably informed (@tomsvoboda) that is is likely Columbus/Columbus max. The frame itself has some chips which I've photographed and there's some real nice fillet brazing on it.

Seat tube CTC - 56cm
Top tube CTC - 54cm

Wheelset is Dura Ace hubs on Wolber rims (650 front). I'd say that the the front now needs slightly truing.

Shimano 600 Tricolor throughout, Shimano BB and new cables etc. Recently replaced the front brake caliper.

Cockpit is Cinelli Tempo bars with a Cinelli stem and Campagnolo Record headset.

Saddle is a San Marco Concor on an all black FSA seat post.

Pedals and bottle cage aren't included in the sale.

Real shame to let it go but I need to set up another project and I'd prefer to see someone in the forum enjoying it.

you can pick up good lo pro frames on ebay for 150 BIN and tricolour group for 100 so your price is optimistic

For a Chas Roberts? I messaged a few guys with knowledge of these and the ball park figures I was given for mine were generally £600-£650. Admittedly the value here isn't in the components.

I'm not sure of the value of this Roberts -it is certainly very nice so the price prob is in the ball park. The £150ish lo pro 700/650 frames on Ebay are ok but not in the same league.
Well known maker frames are usually a better bet than lesser marques, are more sought after and hence more expensive.

One does not simply call a chas Roberts a 'good frame' rather more excellent in my opinion

was just saying it seemed optimistic given you can BIN great lo pro frames for 150 on ebay and the parts and wheels are cheap, and I was speaking in reference to given sold prices

I bought that pink Roberts (2nd link above) - frame is in way worse condition than this and most parts on their last lags

sometimes things go cheap on eBay just because of bad luck. Doesn't necessarily reflect genuine value IMO

Thats sneaky! good tekkers though if you don't want to sell it. I've had a seller make up some total bs story about why he couldn't sell me something, then relisted it a few months later. really pissed me off. would have been much less painful if he'd just had someone out bid me.

Agreed, id much rather lose an auction than win and have it cruelly snatched away. Ignorance truly is bliss.
