I don't think BrewDog really give a shit about women, or anyone or anything else for that matter. They like selling beer and pretending they're rebels and getting in the news constantly and that's about it.

Plus always banged on about "keeping it small" and then sold the majority of their business to an investment company in the US... which is annoying as they slammed Camden for selling out. I guess they saw millions of pound signs and thought fuck it, we can advertise on bus shelters and TV now!

Had a third of Encantada Neolitic Gruit Fruit beer last night. Mental natural ferment thing, like a cider crossed with a sour. Delicious.

They do have a female CEO in the US which I suspect is pretty rare for many brewery companies. Although I agree that this and some of their other schemes probably came from the marketing department, not a deep-rooted sense of injustice.

Personally I'd say that investment from a venture capital firm is different to being sold to Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Did they bang on about keeping it small? I thought they banged on about getting 'proper beer to the masses'.

Unlike Camden, they sold 22% to an investment company, not 100% to a multinational brewing giant.

The thing that turned me off was this:

S'up boozers? I got given a beer and cheese tasting thing at brewdog for Xmas which expires at the end of the month, I was all set to walk round the corner after work one evening and cash it in along with the free beer they gave out and get a little tipsy for free. Annoyingly I don't seem to be able to book it at the Manchester brewdog and as its a thing that is at 1830 Mon-Thu, work means I don't really have time to get over to Liverpool or Sheffield to do it there. Soo, who wants it? It's for 2 people and just requires a Groupon code or some shit which I'll send you. From memory it's valid at a couple of London branches, Bristol, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh, plus a couple more I can check for you if there's a local one I haven't mentioned. All I ask in return is if we ever bump into each other IRL you buy me roughly how much beer you got to drink, and maybe some cheese.
