Did it fix it?

You have probably engineered a way around it but I thought the C bag was incompatible with S bars ?

Did what fix what?
My bike is clean, well it was until riding in the rain yesterday morning, and the problem is there. It clearly needs adjustment, hence why I asked if anyone had a good guide.
I guess I should know better than to ask a sensible question on lfgss and expect a straightforward answer.

They say it interferes with gear and brake cables on S bars, AIUI. I have no gear cables (at the moment, this is due to change) and I'm running non-standard brake levers (Paul Components E-Levers) which may alter things.

I have a C bag with S type handlebars and it's never really been an issue. Some people suggest chopping the plastic handle off but I've not found it an issue.

Right thanks - I think I'll try and bag a cheap 2nd hand C bag and if butchery is required then it won't matter too much.
I have no gear cables. -

bit harsh
Dirt and grit gets in the mechanism, hence my suggestion to clean it up and lube it.
If it's not that then I'll happily take the abuse.

Especially given it was wet. My money is still on a stuck derailleur.

All of your money?

Got one. All resolved thanks.

I have gear cables - mine is a 2 speed - I took a hacksaw and rasp to the handle - in a year or so of regular Sainos use, I have neither noticed or mourned its loss.
If you did, it's always possible to fashion a handle from something like climbing sling webbing or similar.
ETA Incidentally, I probably overload the luggage blok (Sovietski, ha!) on a regular basis. IME what fails first are the pop rivets in the bag frame - easy enough to fix. -

No worries!

Any recommendations for best value for money upgrades? I'm on a stock S type 1 speed with mudguards, no rack, Brooks and Schwalbes.
Plan is to swap out pedals for MKS Ezy and get ergo grips, both for performance not weight reasons. I'd love a more aesthetically pleasing chain tensioner but can't find anything under £100.

JTEK 3 speed kit, seen it being discussed a lot and available via SJS BUT can't find them anymore on their site...

What brakes, brake levers and single or twin wall rims?

how does one fly with brompton? I want n00b's guide.

Really? We’ve got a couple in stock and I think they look ACE

If you haven’t already, you can flip the pentaclip for some saddle height gainz.

It’s usually the limit screws on the outside of the mechanism - have a close look at how they affect the mechanism, you want a hairs width of daylight on either side of the jockey wheel when looking from in front/behind, in both gears. If it’s not the limit screws then undo the grub screw on the gear cable and feed a little more cable in.
Also make sure the jockey wheels are sliding back and forth freely, had one the other day that had been packed with grit and cut a groove that was preventing it from sliding.

A Ti seat post is a really good upgrade. Saves weight, looks good and I think it improves the ride.
Also, a decent chainset really sets it off nicely too. Other than that, it’s mostly cosmetic stuff, and then it gets mad expensive. A Dinokiddo carbon stem for £1500? -

Pedals are a good idea - the folding pedal is a boat anchor.
If you are swapping the chainset, don't make the mistake of fitting a Shimano Alfine. It might look better, but is not lighter than the Brompton one.

@user86106 I didn't realise that ti posts could be had so cheap! Definitely on my shopping list.
@Lynx brakes, brake levers and rims are all stock (2018 bike). I'm thinking some gold brake levers would go well with the brazing on the raw frame, maybe also a gold chain. Any other recommendations?
Thanks dude.
