Bro in law lived in Brentwood for 2 years. Commuted to east London for work. Absolutely hated everything about it, the white van men, racists, chain bars, crap pubs, expensive commute. He had a decent sized semi with a 100 ft garden but was so fed up with it all he purchased the house behind me in Leytonstone. He now has a house half the size and a garden a quarter of the size of what he used to have but is now much happier.
