  • Death by humidity here in the colonies... Turned our air-conditioning off cuz a storm was overhead, temp dropped by seven degrees but humidity must've gone up so fuck all change... So uncomfortable... Ugh...

  • Keen weather-watcher dicki, of Stratford, expressed disappointment at no longer being able to gambol about in the slush on one of his 7,483 fat-tyred mud bikes. "I'm off to get some pontoons," he said when interviewed and raced up the road with the rising waters in hot pursuit.

  • temperature changes in the last few days have been such that the inside of my house colder that the air outside, I;m getting condensation on the outside of the windows !

open all the windows today to let some heat in

  • Wow!

  • I'm loving my new hardiness. Awaking to a temperature of 4 degrees and thinking, mmmmm toasty.

  • Feeling like I'm at a festival not been able to have a proper shower since we lost/have low water pressure due to all the water pipes bursting in SE London. We have three burst pipes in our street alone, one of which looks ready to rival Iceland's famous geyser's.

  • Yup no water this morning either. Thought it was a knackered boiler. Kinda relieved it's not...

  • how middle class is this from the standard

Cressida Burnet, a family lawyer who lives near Wandsworth Common, said last night that she had been without water for 24 hours.

    Cressida - tick
    lawyer - tick
    family lawyer - double tick
    wandsworth common - tick

surely she usually bathes in evian so not sure what she's so worried about, unless her pony needs a wash
    oh the humanity

  • said from drought free east London

I can cycle a few litre bottles of water to those in the most dire need

    pm me

Pop outside with a soap and a towel then. It'll be quite invigorating, but if there's airborne water going to waste you might as well use it.

  • Ms Burnet added: “Our nearest water collection point is in Streatham, which is quite a long way away for people.

I mean, c'mon, Thames water - Streatham! Won't somebody think of the family lawyers.

  • it could be spring out there today
    lovely

  • Just caught the news. Seems the weather is still a bit shit up north.

People stranded... in their own house.

People cold and conserving their heating fuel... while their son walks around in a t-shirt.

  • while their son walks around in a t-shirt.

    future fuel

  • or food?

Tough choice. Now I see their predicament.

  • yeah, saw that on twitter few days ago :)

  • 30/03/2017 it hit 21 celsius in London. This weather is bullshit.

  • I've been in Spain since the 21st, it's been freezing and bucketing down all day, every day bar one... A timely reminder of why I left Europe, at least the rain's warm in Australia...

  • I miss warm rain. Tenerife was lovely the other week though.
