My only bike with tyres fatter than 25c is knackered, so yesterday and today get a "nice walk in the snow before spending all day sliding around on a cargo bike"/10

Saw some very sketchy driving yesterday though, plenty of taxi drivers not seeming to care about the conditions and driving at their normal speed, including one who narrowly missed a group of people as they skidded through a red light at a pedestrian crossing. Also saw a car that had crashed into a lamp post, had the hazards on, abandoned and was covered in snow so had clearly been there for a while, apparently it was there an hour and a half earlier in the same state.

I love when the snow melts and all the cars have been parked where they assumed the kerb was in the snow, but they're miles off so they all look abandoned.

Maybe love is a bit strong

Roads seem pretty clear of ice. I didn't see/feel any this morning, even in places that have been bad recently. The wind is unreasonable though.

It's all very underwhelming on the south coast, just a light dusting and a howling wind. Still got the xc bike out just incase it gets worse/better for the trip home

Deciding on commute : Shoreditch to soho on 30mm wide rimmed schwalbe g-ones should be OK?

Much easier going than yesterday, all main roads just wet and mucky.
Given the current conditions it's strange to think noddergeddon is only three weeks away.

Got 10 minutes down the road, heard that the courier companies we subcontract from are going to be at least 2 hours late to drop things off for us if they turn up at all. "Walked 10 minutes, now sat awkwardly playing board games with my boss, secretly hoping I don't have to work today"/10

Ran in . Colleague thought I was kidding.
Only almost stacked it once.
Don't need no trains/10

Run the same tyres. Tried and turned back. Some roads look gritted but they are still icy.

Leaving in 20 minutes, just need to swap to the wheelset with studded tyres.
Tomorrow's run in also looking interesting.

Not as pretty in Richmond Park as yesterday...
Garmin showed -8C around that point too. What with that, the strong headwind, the ice, and poor visibility, it was slow going this morning.

SNOWMAGEDDON!!! finally got to Belfast. An inch of snow, and powder snow fallimg ATM so it's not so bad.

Quite unpleasant ride in this morning. Wasn't feeling it and felt more like a chore than the pleasant experience of yesterday. Windchill plus novelty of snow wearing off plus loads of ice. Need to leave work early as daughters nursery closing early .

Damn I was kind of hoping it was intentional. Don't know if you're a fan of motorsport at all but it would be an awesome livery homage.

Someone abandoned their Range Rover on Grove Road right next to a zebra crossing on zig zags. It's a fucking Range Rover mate, if you can't drive that in the snow hand in your fucking driving licence.

So basically that's; cunt in a cunt car parks like a cunt.

Very much this. My face got a bit of wind burn last night so put my snood on this morning, but then my glasses wouldn't stop steaming up so had to take them off, so I kept getting wind and snow in my eyes. I wish I'd worn my goggles!
Also had a really slow speed lowside and the driver behind me luckily was being very sensible and had left a nice big gap. They skidded for a few metres but still stopped a few metres short of me.
No MTB commute?
